ABOUT US

The Ensemble Barocksolisten München, founded in 2010 by Dorothea Seel, are a group of exceptional soloists. Each musician plays his part to the full, both with absolute devotion to his line and serving the ensembe playing. The interaction between characters and instruments creates a truly special mix of transparency and poignance. Combined with their virtuosity and sound, the result is of a unique energy and spark.

The Ensemble has performed in many prestigious halls and played for festivals such as the Barocktage Stift Melk, Bruehler Schlosskonzerte, Telemann Tage Zerbst, Europäische Festwochen Passau, Residenzwoche München, Dom Innsbruck, Regensburger Dom, Meran Festival and the International Bach Chamber Music Festival Riga.

‘However, chamber music is always the first and foremost focus of the group no matter how diverse the music’. In selected programes the Barocksolisten München perform with singers such as Johanna Winkler, Robin Johanssen, Sophie Junker, and the reciter August Zirner.

The Baroque soloists' CDs reflect the breadth of the repertoire, which focuses on chamber and solo concertos:
2014 Vivaldi (Hänssler), 2014 Johann Zach: Concerti (music museum), 2016 Bach (Hänssler)
In 2017 and 2018 the CDs Al Capriccio (Supersonic Pizzicato Award and Ö1-Pasticio Preis ORF) and Fons Amoris (Supersonic Pizzicato Award) with music by Johann Zach were released for musikmuseum. 2024 Barocksolisten München will release
MOZART CONCERTI for Flute KV 313, Oboe KV 314 and Bassoon KV 199.
Our recordings are broadcasted by BBC, BR Classic, ABC Net Australia, RBB, Muzieknet or Ö1 among others.
